This has been one of my faves of Paul Simon's solo stuff since I was a kid. Apparently I used to really, REALLY love this song. Roadmap for my adult life. :lol:

I played it for one of my buddies recently and he was totally shocked because apparently the entire song's been sampled and used as the backing for several rap records he knows. He was bug-eyed, going, "They didn't even add ANYTHING to the loop! The whole track's already right there on the Paul Simon record!" :lol:

Y'know, I was really hoping there'd be more of a push for Ace's cover of this song-- not only so there'd be more attention paid to the Ace and what he's doing these days, but also so there'd be more attention paid to Sweet and their catalogue.

I only got turned on to them by... I think it was Juke, back on TTS a few years ago, and when I finally bought a greatest-hits comp I was shocked by all the great songs. I only knew "Ballroom Blitz" from when I was a teenager.
